About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Professional Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health centers, university counseling centers, neurorehabs, and private practices.

I earned a Master’s in Clinical Christian Counseling at Cairn University and then a second Master’s degree and a

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College with a concentration in Assessment.  I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Beechwood Neurorehab conducting neuropsychological assessments and counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injury. I completed my postdoctoral residency at Growth Opportunity Center where I conducted psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations.

I have always been passionate about trauma and its global and personal impact. I have spent the last 10 years deepening my understanding of and strengthening my expertise in trauma informed care. Specifically, I love conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations from a trauma-informed framework. Trauma masquerades as so many different diagnoses or behaviors that can often be the driving force behind individual struggles, including academic, behavioral, social and emotional, and cognitive dysfunction. Together, we will make sense of your struggles, tap into your resilience, and journey towards healing.

I utilize an integrative and evidence-based approach in treatment and evaluations, working from a trauma informed and multicultural framework to help understand how experiences and diversity characteristics influence an individual’s functioning. I firmly believe that knowledge is power. Thus, I focus on teaching my clients about brain and behavior connections, their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, resilience, trauma reactions, adaptive behaviors, coping strategies, self-regulation interventions, and thought-emotion cycles.
